Wine is the fifth largest export commodity in New Zealand, most of which is exported to the United States and Australia. In fact, exports to the US led to strong export growth, and exports to the US exceeded 500 million New Zealand dollars (increaesd by 12%) for the first time. New Zealand wine has become the third most valuable imported wine in the United States, behind French wine and Italian wine.

In the past 20 years, the export growth rate of New Zealand’s wine industry has reached 17% annually.
